The draw for the Second Day of the Carabao Cup has been made and the ties have been confirmed – which will take place in the week starting on August 22nd.
Following the completion of the first round matches, the draw, hosted by Mark Chapman live on Sky Sports, was carried out by former Sheffield Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison and Sunderland hero Michael Gray.
The 13 Premier League clubs not competing in European competition enter the Carabao Cup in the second round alongside Burnley and Watford from the Sky Bet Championship.
The competition remains regionalized in the early rounds with the draw split into a south and north section until the third round.
The first round final tie between West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United takes place on Thursday 11 August at 20:00.
