Over the weekend, actress Eleanor Tomlinson and rugby player Will Owen were married, making things official at Euridge Manor in Chippenham, where the bride wore a beautiful white Pronovias dress, which was the first dress she wore. was tested.
We caught up with Tomlinson just after his big day to discover every detail of her stunning bridal look, from the brilliant De Beers diamonds to her bright pink makeup and of course her huge train, which occupied so much space. the journey to the alter that her father could not fit in the back of the car with her.
Choosing something that was a world away from the sleek, elegant dress or design inspired by Grace Kelly that she thought she would be attracted to, this is how Tomlinson decided the most important dress of her life.
How did you choose your wedding dress?
I think all future brides have an idea of the type of wedding dress they want, but it’s amazing how that changes once you try on one for the first time. After playing a bride at Love Wedding Repeat, there was a style of dress she felt she had already worn, which luckily ruled out many options.

I went to Pronovias on Bond Street with my brother Ross and my two best friends, Victoria and Bex, and the first dress I tried on was the same. I looked at my brother and he burst into tears and I only knew he had found the dress of my dreams and then a few.
The Pronovias team was sensational from the start and made me feel like a million bucks. So it really wasn’t that hard. I still tried on almost every other outfit in the store, so why not? – but he knew that nothing could surpass the dress he had already found.

Did any famous bride inspire your look?
I’ve always been obsessed with Grace Kelly’s wedding dress, even as a child. That being said, when you find your own outfit, all the ideas start to flood you and you build your own image of how you want to look.
Then I called my friends to ask for their advice and together we came out with this look that seemed to know that in my core it would work. I didn’t keep the wedding dress a secret for my friends. I wanted them to be included and involved in the emotion. After all, it is your friends who make you feel beautiful.

Did the rest of the wedding plans inspire your choice of dresses?
Place and details play an important role in finding the right outfit. Create an image in your mind throughout the day and everything falls as if by magic. I knew I wanted to get married at Euridge Manor in Chippenham; it’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Once I saw the hallway, the stage, the different areas where the moments of our big day would be played out, I was able to imagine the costume in the surroundings.
My brother’s fiancé, Alex, was our wedding planner and without him we wouldn’t have had the slightest idea where to start with anything. The best advice for any future bride, get a wedding planner! Second tip: grab Alex! It was amazing, he even conducted the ceremony because I wanted him to be a friend, someone I love, up there with Will and me.

Were you surprised by the choice of dress?
As for the dress, I had thought I was going to look for something sleek and elegant, but like I said, when you decided on your place and tried on different dresses, I discovered that the dresses I thought I would have loved were not right. completely.
Instead, she wore the most impressive dress with the most outrageous train. There wasn’t even room for my dad to sit next to me in the car – he had to sit in front! I’ve never felt so safe though. So happy. So dear. And so ready to walk down this hallway.

How did you decide on your accessories?
Finding jewelry was what worried me the most. I wanted something simplistic, but beautiful. Something that would make me feel elegant but at the same time would not detract from her dress.

I went in to see De Beers and shared my looks and ideas with them and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. I tried her Snow Dance collection and immediately fell in love and felt like a queen. The necklace, earrings and bracelets were the finishing touch that really completed the look and I felt very lucky to be able to show off her diamonds with my beautiful dress. I’m still pinching myself.

Has your line of work facilitated the process?
I think having a little experience with red carpets and the fashion world definitely helped my nerves. Although saying this, when you first arrive in the hallway and look outside and see the faces of friends and family who like you looking at you, everything comes out the window and the lower lip begins to tremble … and then, boy, come these tears of happiness.

Tell us about your beauty look.
I’m not sure I had inspiration for hair and beauty, exactly. All in all, I wanted to feel like myself and be able to have the best time dancing all night with all our friends and family. I wanted a bright, pink skin, so my makeup artist, teacher Justine Jenkins and I got together to do a little test before and create the look together. Nothing too much, just classic, clean and bright.

It was kind of the same vibration that created the look of the hair. Katie Hale, my extraordinary hairdresser, is a visionary and an artist. We looked through humor boards, did a test and Katie created this curly, sexy and textured masterpiece. I have never felt so fabulous. Having Katie and Justine get ready for what was one of the best days of my life … well, I’m a lucky girl to have such talented and wonderful friends.
Do you have any advice for future brides who are still deciding what to wear?
My advice for any bride would be to include your family and closest friends in choosing your dress. This is where the magic really begins. Your friends radiate their love for you and it is this radiance that recovers. Trust your instincts: if you feel fabulous, you will find it fabulous. You wear the dress, the dress doesn’t wear you. So gather your closest friends, include them and they will give you that extra boost and allow you to shine.
