An electric scooter rider is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a serious fall in Melbourne’s CBD. Police said the man, in his 50s, was traveling westbound on Collins Street, Docklands, when he fell just after 3.30am on Sunday.
The seriously injured man was rushed to hospital.

Police said the exact circumstances surrounding the fall are unknown and an investigation is underway.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital said e-scooter accident admissions rose from 29 in 2020 to 76 in 2021.
Up to 2022, a total of 129 riders have been admitted, with 16 treated for serious injuries.
