An employee at a downtown business is facing assault charges after two customers were spat on Friday afternoon, according to Guelph police.
A verbal altercation began between the employee and customers, during which the employee spat at both, striking one in the face and the other in the shoulder area. The employee fled before police arrived, but was located and arrested a short time later.
A 40-year-old Guelph man is charged with two counts of assault. He will appear in a Guelph court on September 27.
