There are no longer any tornado watches and warnings for New Brunswick.
Environment Canada warned northern New Brunswick of the possibility of tornadoes late Sunday afternoon.
The Campbellton and Restigouche County regions were of particular concern, according to the alert.
The lone warning, for the western half of Restigouche County, was later changed to a thunderstorm warning and tornado watch.
As of 6:30 pm, a tornado watch was in effect for the Mount Carleton-Renous Freeway area and the eastern half of Restigouche County and Bathurst/Chaleur.
However, by 7 p.m., the tornado watches had ended and six areas were under thunderstorm watches.
Thunderstorm watches were in effect for:
- Bathurst and Chaleur.
- Campbellton and Restigouche County.
- Edmundston and Madawaska County.
- Grand Falls and Victoria County.
- Mount Carleton-Renous Road.
- Woodstock and Carleton County.
Heat advisories remain in effect across the province, with most areas seeing temperatures in the 30-33C range, with overnight lows only expected to drop to 18-20C.
