Erik ten Hag ripped into his Manchester United players and then canceled his day off after the humiliating 4-0 defeat by Brentford.
Ten Hag returned to his desk at United’s Carrington base early this morning after he and the team traveled from London last night.
The team was supposed to have a day off today, but Ten Hag was so furious with his players’ performances that he told them to report to Carrington this morning for an extra training session.
The Dutchman became the first United manager to lose his first two games since John Chapman in 1921.
Brentford scored all of their goals in the opening 35 minutes, prompting Ten Hag to hit his players in the away dressing room.
