While music played a surprisingly important role in the first half of Netflix’s Stranger Things 4, Volume 1 never went so far as to give Eddie Munson the sick guitar he featured in the first trailers of this season. In the first teaser of Stranger Things Volume 2, however, the outgoing king of Hawkins High’s Hellfire Club finally gets his ax just in time for an epic battle in Upside Down.
Stranger Things 4 Volume 1 finally revealed the origins of Vecna, the malevolent presence that has been threatening Hawkins for years, and established that Eleven and her friends are really one of the only groups able to overthrow the creature as it attempts to enter its world. from the Head Down. In the new trailer, everyone feels the pressure when Hawkins returns armed with new insights into what they face and how serious the danger Vecna poses. While Dr. Martin Brenner isn’t sure that Eleven’s newly restored powers will be enough for him to deal with the first of his superhuman species, Vecna’s approach leaves her with no choice but to return to his hometown to face him. -turned on.
The trailer doesn’t make it clear when and how Eleven will reconnect with its allies this season, but it does include samples of all of them venturing into Upside Down, presumably to beat Vecna to submit to the power of the music by Kate Bush. While the features of Max’s cassette player imply that he will play a role in overthrowing the demon, Eddie’s approach to a guitar strongly suggests that when Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 hits Netflix, ‘July 1, the epic battle it generates will be a hellish jam session.
