NRL legend Andrew Johns says the Broncos are poised to challenge for a title in the next two years, with the acquisition of Reece Walsh putting them on top.
The former youth standout will return home, joining a flourishing young bottom line and a group of fearsome strikers, with Adam Reynolds pulling the strings.
“They will surely be challenged for a prime minister for the next two years,” Johns told Freddy and The Eighth of Wide World of Sports.

“All the teams competing at the top have a world-class winger. He’s a world-class defender. Throw Cobbo in there, go.”

The other aspect of the transfer, Johns said, was the mental victory of Brisbane’s traditional power over its newcomers.
“That’s very important to the Broncos about the Dolphins, because you’d imagine that if someone said two weeks ago,‘ I hear a rumor that Reece Walsh will come out of the Warriors, ’you’d say,‘ Oh, he’ll. ’ decided to go to Brisbane, ”he said.
With only the future of Payne Haas on the air, Brisbane seems well placed to fight for its first title since 2006.

“Then look at the young talent that appears in Brisbane; we’ve talked about Cobbo, Ezra Mam is currently showing signs that he’s a top-tier player, Reynolds is there a couple more years, and then this group of young strikers. – Wow, what team are they building, ”Johns said, adding that Reynolds’ signing was as important as anything else.
“They had a very strong and young group of strikers, they had young talent, but they had no skipper steering the boat,” he said.

“You can have the biggest boat in the world, but if you don’t have the right skipper, now they do Adam Reynolds and they are a different club.
“Be careful in the next two years.”
