Legendary musician Billy Joel will perform a special concert in Australia later this year.
In collaboration with Frontier Touring, the Victorian government and ALWAYS LIVE, the 73-year-old ‘Piano Man’ singer was delighted to announce that he would be coming to Down Under for a one-night concert at iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in December. 10 – and I couldn’t be more excited.
“I am delighted to announce that I will finally be coming to Australia to do an exclusive show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as part of ALWAYS LIVE,” Joel said in a video message to fans.

The singer – who has topped the charts with hits such as ‘Always a Woman’, ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire’ and ‘Uptown Girl’ – has not played in Melbourne for 14 years and is counting down the days until his return. .
“I haven’t been there in a long time, I’m really looking forward to it and I’m taking the whole family and we’ll enjoy it. See you there.”
Mushroom Group President and CEO Matt Gudinski, who took over after the death of his father Michael Gudinski last year, said they were delighted to welcome Joel to Melbourne.

Joel is without a doubt one of the most recognizable faces and voices in music. He has sold over 150 million records worldwide, making him the sixth best-selling record artist of all time and the third best-selling solo artist.
