Fiji loses to Australia A by 32 – 18

The Vodafone Flying Fijians lost to Australia A by 32-18 in their second Pacific Nations Cup match at Churchill Park.

Fiji started well with Seta Tamanivalu scoring in the first half and captain Levani Botia testing shortly before half-time.

Teti Tela missed a few penalties and transformations in the first half and was replaced by Ben Volavola in the second period.

Fiji’s last points came from an attempt to block Api Ratuniyarawa with Volavola erring on the conversion.

Filipo Daugunu scored one of Australia A’s four tries.

The Flying Fijians will face Samoa in a must-see match next Saturday at 3.30pm at Churchill Park.

Meanwhile, Samoa defeated Tonga 34-18 in their second match to lead the PNC standings.
