Final Fantasy 16 release window set for mid-2023

Can you stand the wait?

Final Fantasy 16 now has a release window in mid-2023, Square Enix confirmed today to Sony PlayStation State of Play.

Alongside the confirmation, of course, comes a new trailer that sets the tone for what we can expect with the latest iteration of the legendary franchise.

“It breaks us, undoes us, so that its immaculate appearance can be revealed,” Square Enix said simply. “The Eikon.”

“The latest trailer gives players a clearer picture of what the real game will be like,” said producer Naoki Yoshida. “That is, high octane battles with our protagonist Clive Rosfield with a full arsenal of unique attacks from the many Eikons (invocations) of the game. Not to mention the epic clashes between the same Eikons that put you into action.

“In our latest trailer, we introduced several new Eikons, as well as offering a more detailed view of our action-packed battle system and the freedom it offers players,” added director Hiroshi Takai. “As far as development progress is concerned, I am delighted to announce that the game can be played completely from start to finish; although, from optimization to improvement, there is still a mountain of challenges to face as we head towards our final push. Until then, please stay tuned. “

We’ll have more information on Final Fantasy 16 as it becomes available. The title is expected in mid-2023 on PS5.
