The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are still a few months away at the time of writing, with a likely release in September, and the wait is long because leaks and rumors suggest there’s a lot to to wait.
It looks like it’s going to be a weird year for the iPhone, and the Pro models are getting even more updates than usual, while the standard iPhone 14 could hardly be an upgrade to the iPhone 13.
So here we are looking at the Pro models and have detailed the best updates we have heard about so far. None of these things have been confirmed yet, but at the moment they all seem quite likely.
1. No more notch

Perhaps the biggest change for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max is that Apple is getting rid of the notch.
This is something we’ve been wanting for years, basically since the notch was released on the iPhone X, and it looks very likely that this will be the year it is removed, as numerous leaks suggest.
Apple may not like the Apple alternative, as it seems likely that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will have two cuts on the screen. One small hole and one larger.
This is an imperfect solution and would mean that the screen stays more interrupted than on most Android phones, but Apple will probably need to host all Face ID components.
2. A 48 MP camera

Apple does not update the cameras of their phones every year, at least not significantly, but this year we could have big changes, with rumors pointing to a 48 MP main sensor instead of the 12 MP used in the iPhone . 13 line.
This could mean a major upgrade of the already impressive photo skills of Apple’s best iPhones, and it is said that it will also allow 8K video recording, rather than 4K on current models.
It remains to be seen what difference this lens change will make, if it occurs, but we expect a noticeable improvement.
3. Much more power
This is perhaps the most obvious and expected update, but the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, of course, will almost certainly be more powerful than the iPhone 13 Pro line, thanks to a new A16 Bionic chipset.
There is a possibility that these phones may also increase the RAM, from 6 GB to 8 GB, although only one source has mentioned it, with most disagreeing.
Interestingly, the standard iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max can stay with the current chipset, so while a new chipset isn’t the most exciting or unexpected upgrade, you may need to buy a Pro model. to get this year.
4. An always active screen

Many Android phones offer always-on screens, and this feature, which can show the time and notification icons even when the screen is off, could also reach the iPhone 14 Pro line.
This is according to a reputable source, who claims that the feature can be activated as part of iOS 16, but probably only for phones that can reduce their refresh rate by up to 1 Hz. No current iPhone has this battery saving feature, but it looks like the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will, which also allows them to make use of an always-on screen.
5. A larger battery
We always expect bigger batteries in our phones, or at least a better battery life one way or another, and it looks like the iPhone 14 Pro line might offer, as one source claims that the batteries will be bigger this year.
We’re not sure how much bigger it is, but the iPhone 13 Pro Max already has an impressive battery life, so endurance could be a real highlight this year if it gets even better.
