Florida rapper Rollie Bands shot dead in front of home after bold critics confronted him

Florida rapper Rollie Bands was gunned down outside his apartment complex Friday minutes after he dared his critics to confront him at his home in an Instagram post.

“Many of these girls know where I live fr,” the rapper wrote on his Instagram story, he said. HipHopDX.

“Sleep in peace. If a *** wants to smoke, I’m in my crib in 5 minutes.

Just five minutes after it was posted, around 3:30 p.m., the rapper was shot in the parking lot of his Tampa apartment complex. He was rushed to a local hospital, but could not be saved, reports say New York Post.

The suspects, who police believe they knew and targeted Bands, fled in a vehicle. They remain free.

“At this time, the shooting does not appear to be random, as the suspects and victim possibly know each other,” the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in the report.

Bands was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, and is best known for his songs Struggle, close ties i reminisce.

She is believed to be survived by a young daughter, who she shared a photo of on Instagram, along with the caption: “The only person I live for.”

His death eerily echoes that of rapper Pop Smoke, real name Bashar Barakeh Jackson, who was gunned down at a property in the Los Angeles suburb of Hollywood Hills in February 2020.

Just hours before his shooting death, the musician had posted a video on social media revealing his exact address.
