Sam Fisher, 39, who appeared via a video link on Tuesday, was released on bail after being arrested at his Sandringham property in May.
The retired St Kilda defender, who played 228 games with the club for 12 years, now faces drug charges.

Police also allege he found more drugs in his Sandringham home when they attacked the property in May.
A magistrate agreed that Fisher be moved from Ravenhall Correctional Center to a rehabilitation center, under strict conditions, so that he could receive treatment for his drug addiction.
A doctor from the AFL Players Association provided a letter of support for him to be sent to rehab.

For the next 90 days, Fisher is not allowed to leave Woodend’s facilities.
The magistrate warned him that if he breached any of his strict bail conditions, he would be sent back to prison.
The 39-year-old will return to court in September.
