Former Conservative MP Rory Stewart has called for help in finding his lost wedding ring.
The former minister said he lost him in the town of Buxton in Derbyshire after giving a talk on Saturday and posted on Twitter asking the public to help him recover it.
He said he was “very embarrassed” but that he would be “very grateful” if people could help share the image.
The image posted on social media shows a circular gold ring with a crossed face.
Former Conservative Penrith and the frontier MP said he thought the ring was “dropped on St John’s Road”, which is near the site after he gave a talk at an opera.
In response to the tweet, thousands of people shared and commented on the post to try to find it.
Under former Prime Minister Theresa May, Stewart served as international development minister and was later ousted from the party.
He resigned as MP in 2019 to run for mayor of London as an independent candidate.
