There seems likely to be an indictment of Trump, according to former Attorney General Merrick Garland law professor Laurence Tribe. The Harvard law professor made an appearance on CNN to share his thoughts on the January 6 committee hearings. “There is evidence, no doubt from the searches and confiscations of both John Eastman and others, of solid evidence that the Justice Department is not stopping with standing soldiers, but going to the generals,” Tribe said. on CNN. “And the greatest general of all, of course, is Donald Trump. I think he’s most likely to be charged.” Tribe said committee members are presented with a lose-lose situation. If they accuse Trump, Tribe said there will be violence. If they don’t, they “invite another violent insurrection.”
