A trial date has been set for four men following an altercation in Brislington on Tuesday (May 24th) involving a large group of people. One man was killed in the incident, but all four who have gone to court today are charged with violent disorder.
Sadik Lleshi, Brikel Palaj, Kastriot Mhillaj and Rinush Behari have been charged with felony criminal mischief in connection with the Bloomfield Road incident after a 30-year-old man suffered fatal injuries. Magistrates took the case to the Bristol Crown Court on June 27, 2022.
Lleshi, 34, of Culvert Road, Tottenham, London, appeared separately from the other defendants in Bristol Magistrate’s Court on Saturday (May 28) due to her connection to the man who lost her life in the mess. Acting lawyer Ian Kelcey LLeshi did not ask for any request and has been arrested.

Prosecutor Jill Macnamara told the court how Lleshi tried to drag the man who died to a safe place during the riot south of Bristol. The other three defendants appeared separately shortly afterwards to find out the charges against them.
Rinush Behari, 32, of Bunton Street, London, was represented by Masood Hussain, who did not file a statement on behalf of the defendant. No bail was filed.
Kastriot Mhillaj, 34, homeless, demanded that his lawyer interpret into Italian, although Albanian is his mother tongue, according to the court. Gianpaolo Damiani said there would be no bail application on behalf of his client.
Brikel Palaj, 32, of Heavitree Road, London, was represented by Ms Ahmed, who said no bail application would be submitted. All three defendants have not been convicted and will also be remanded in custody.
The three men were accused of using or threatening illegal violence when they were with others and of how their conduct together made a person at the scene fear their safety.
The prosecution described it as a “very serious incident” involving a large group of men. The trial is set for June 27 in Bristol Crown Court.
Police have so far arrested seven men in connection with the murder investigation. Two other men, aged 18 and 34, who were arrested on suspicion of helping a criminal, have both been released on bail and further investigations will be opened. Another man arrested in connection with this investigation is still in hospital under treatment.
