Foxconn Production Base in India to ship iPhone 14 simultaneously with China

TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted on August 5 that according to his latest survey, Foxconn’s iPhone production site in India will ship the new iPhone 14 this year almost simultaneously with the China for the first time.

Foxconn is a technology manufacturing services company and one of Apple’s main production partners. The company focuses on mainland China and has at least two manufacturing bases in Asia, America and Europe.

Kuo said that in the past, the cycle of India’s production bases lagged behind China’s by at least a quarter. In the short term, India’s iPhone capacities or shipments still have a considerable gap with China, but it is an important milestone for Apple in building a non-Chinese iPhone production site.

Kuo previously published posts saying that Apple’s supply chain management in the past mainly focused on quality and cost, but to deal with the complexity and uncertainty of supply chains, Apple will take every even more measures to do business with more Chinese suppliers and establish more -Chinese production bases.

Kuo also mentioned in July that to avoid possible supply chain shortages when the equipment starts mass production, Apple added a supplier to the iPhone 14/Pro series, namely SG Micro Corp (SGMICRO), and it is expected to send the energy. iPhone 14 management IC in the second half of the year.

The price of the iPhone 14 has also been exposed recently. The starting price will be 5,999 yuan ($887), in line with the previous generation, while the iPhone 14 Pro will cost 7,999 yuan. Before the iPhone 14 launch, Apple’s official website in China had already launched a limited-time discount for all iPhone 13 and other products.
