Sources confirmed on Saturday that the body of 5-year-old Frank Young has been found.
Red Earth Cree Nation Emergency Response Coordinator Allistair Nawakayas has confirmed that Young’s search is over.

Details of the location of Young’s whereabouts have not been released.
Global News contacted the RCMP in Saskatchewan, but has not yet received a response.
Young disappeared on April 19 near his home in the Cree Nation of the Red Earth, more than 200 miles east of Prince Albert, Sask.

Since then there has been a widespread research effort. In the last update on June 21, the search has covered approximately 92 square kilometers with 611 search engines.

At the time, Saskatchewan RCMP tactical support was launching “thorough and targeted searches” on the river banks, as water levels had dropped since the last effort.
“Frank loved playing outside with the kids in the neighborhood,” Frank’s grandmother, Teresa Whitecap, said. “He was creative. He was a lover of fun … Frank was proud to do things for his caregiver, Barb. He was very proud of the things he did for her.”
“The day Frank disappeared, everyone acted right away,” Whitecap said. “From the first day Frank disappeared, we became a family. My family is very strong … we come together as one.”
The Grand Council of Prince Albert, as well as local child and family service organizations, have been supporting the mental health of families.
