All Western Australians can get a free flu shot in June.
Prime Minister Mark McGowan confirmed that WA residents of all ages will be able to receive their free flu shot starting Wednesday at state clinics or participating pharmacies and GPs.
There have already been 194 confirmed cases of influenza in WA this year, with only 20 per cent of Western Australians having received their flu vaccine so far.
“After two years of very low flu, I urge all Western Australians to protect themselves now before the worst winter,” McGowan said in a statement.
It comes after Queensland made free flu shots for everyone six months or older.
NSW, Victoria and South Australia are considering similar agreements.
