Galaxy Buds 2 Pro renderings show Samsung’s next flagship headphones in 3D guides

We now have our first glimpse of Samsung’s next high-end headphones, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, thanks to the animated 3D renderings.

Samsung has consistently earned a reputation for creating some of the most popular headphones for Android fans, which serve as stiff competition against Apple’s AirPods and Google’s Pixel Buds. We are now approaching a year since the Galaxy Buds 2 was released alongside the Galaxy Watch 4 series.

This year, it looks like Samsung isn’t changing the launch schedule too much, as evidence of the Galaxy Watch 5 has emerged quite a bit in recent months. To match last year, Samsung will likely bring its next set of headphones to the next launch event.

Courtesy of the respected filter Evan Blass and 91Mobiles, we can see up close the design of what will be called “Galaxy Buds 2 Pro”. Not surprisingly, the renderings show that the headset and design of the headphones haven’t changed much compared to last January’s Galaxy Buds Pro.

You’ll find the same shell design for the charging case, with the USB-C port on the back. The most notable difference is the inclusion of a new “Bora Purple” shade, which is said to match other hardware that will arrive at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The new purple color joins the more traditional options of white and graphite (black).

As usual, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, codenamed “Zenith”, is shown with “AKG Sound”. Beyond that, however, little is known about the set of features and possible upgrades that these new headphones would bring. In our review, we observed that the original Galaxy Buds Pro still had room for improvement in terms of noise cancellation.

With Google preparing to launch its own set of Pixel Buds Pro with noise cancellation in the coming weeks, it should be interesting to see how they compare to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, when Samsung launches this set in late year.
