Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be released this October.
In a new tweet from Call of Duty’s official Twitter account, the studio announced that Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28th. In addition, the exaggerated video clip gave an preview of some of the characters and potentially the cover. art for the next sequel.
Not content with a simple cover revelation and a release date, Activision revealed the key art of Modern Warfare 2 by placing a large version of the image on a shipping ship and docking it to match. in the full image.

The key art features an operator with a skull mask. But unlike the dark, gray look of the first reboot of Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 opts for a neon green look. See the full key art below.

Activision Blizzard officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 earlier this year. The annual franchise will be run by Infinity Ward this year and will be a sequel to the 2019 reboot. Early details say Modern Warfare 2 will focus on U.S. special forces fighting the Colombian drug cartel.
This could also be the last annual Call of Duty game, as it was reported that the 2023 Call of Duty game will be released in 2024 and the series will no longer be an annual franchise after the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. by Microsoft.
