The Xbox Games Showcase Extended is now over, and as expected, we’ve seen a lot of games appear in its main presentation on Sunday. Bethesda’s Pete Hines talked about Starfield, Redfall, and Fallout 76; Playground Games took a deep dive into their upcoming DLC Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels; and we have a new gameplay of small titles like Now: History Untold and Repentance.
GSC Game World also shared the opening of STALKER 2 along with a developer diary showing what it’s like to work on the game in the midst of the Ukrainian conflict. Another surprise announcement came in the form of confirmation that the success of the Valheim PC game will hit Xbox next year after it was released on PC Game Pass this fall.
Valheim arrives on Xbox
The show opened with an ad trailer for Valheim on Xbox, the game’s first off-PC platform. It was confirmed that Valheim will arrive on PC Game Pass yesterday, but after a handful of game clips, Microsoft also confirmed that it will arrive on the console.
The game will be released this fall for PC Game Pass and will later arrive on Xbox One and Series in the spring of 2023. Steam, Microsoft Store and Xbox versions of Valheim will be fully crossplay.
Bethesda’s Pete Hines talks about Redfall, Fallout, and Starfield
Bethesda executive Pete Hines gave fans a more detailed look at open world co-op shooter Red Fall, talking about how the game combines the classic feel of Arkane Studios with a new (optional) multiplayer element. Hines also talked about what’s new in Fallout 76 and how its community has grown and grown alongside the game itself. Starfield was the final topic of discussion, as Hines defined what Bethesda calls an “epic RPG.”
Naraka: Bladepoint and Xbox Deep Dive

Naraka: Bladepoint 24 Entertainment developer gave fans a look at the game ahead of its Xbox One and Series release date on June 23rd. The studio also delved into its expected campaign mode that will arrive in the game at a later date.
Now: History Untold gets the first game
Oxide Games took to the stage to talk about their upcoming historical strategy game Now: History Untold and show off the first game. A technical alpha was also announced, more details of which will follow on the game’s official website.
Obsidian Entertainment argues on the ground
The developers of Obsidian Entertainment seemed to be talking about Grounded, a survival game in the style of Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and it was finally released completely. The official release date will arrive this September after more than two years of early access.

A brief trailer for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre revealed that the Dead by Daylight-style game would arrive on Xbox Game Pass on its release date. A slightly safer trailer was shown to all audiences, but IGN has also provided the unclassified red band trailer (above).

The Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC takes a deep dive
The upcoming Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC will arrive next month and developer Playground Games offered fans a deep dive into exactly what’s to come. Player-created Hot Wheels events will arrive in the game along with “the most extreme tracks to date in Forza” along with a whole new campaign.
The boss arrives at Fall Guys
A very dramatic Fall Guys trailer revealed that Halo’s Master Chief is coming to the game as a new look and that a Spartan Showdown event will be held to celebrate it from June 30th to July 1st. Although the game has been released on PlayStation and PC for a while Fall Guys officially arrives on Xbox on June 21st.
