It’s a UFC-free weekend, but it’s another big Saturday night for boxing, as AMB “regular” lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (26-0, 24 KOs) is ready for a major pay-per-view event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. York. His opponent is the undefeated puncher Rolando Romero (14-0, 12 KOs), who is taking, by far, the biggest step of his career and has more or less advanced in this game of resentment.
Davis is one of the most entertaining fighters to see in all of boxing and only two men have walked the distance against him. With Romero’s way of fighting, that means not requiring marker cards. That said, Romero is a big draw and, not surprisingly, “Tank” is a -1100 favorite on the DraftKings Sportsbook. We can only expect this to be more competitive than the odds suggest, but at least it should produce action.
