A man has been hit and killed on a Victorian road after stopping to help a motorcyclist with a punctured tire.
The 55-year-old was driving on Princes Highway, near the intersection of Rights Lane, in Flynn when he stopped to help the other motorcyclist.
But when he was standing on the sidewalk next to his car, an oncoming car hit him at 8:20 p.m.

He died at the scene.
The driver of the passing car, a 23-year-old man from Rosedale, immediately stopped at the scene.
He is assisting the police with his investigations and the circumstances of the collision are yet to be determined.
There are traffic diversions for westbound traffic and lanes have been closed.

Drivers have been asked to use Traralgon-Maffra Road or Hyland Highway as alternatives and allow extra time.
“These diversions will add considerable time and distance, so drivers are asked to allow plenty of extra time for their journey,” the Department of Transportation said.
Anyone who has witnessed the incident or who may have images from the dashboard has been asked to contact the police.
