Gorka Márquez has retired from the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing summer tour with Cameron Lombard.
The shows of The Strictly Presents: Keep Dancing will begin later this month, although professional Gorka has been forced to leave due to injury.
“I’m very disappointed not to be able to join the tour, but I have to follow medical advice and rest and recover,” the dancer said. “I encouraged everyone from home. The audience has a real treat!”

Lombard, who is due to join the TV series’ professional lineup for the first time later this year, said it was a “real thrill” to join the tour.
“Keeep Dancing is about giving the audience a look at what’s going on behind the scenes of the TV show; I know they’ll love it!” He said. “We’ll all miss Gorka on the road with us. I’ll send him my best for a speedy recovery.”

The dancer joins an impressive lineup that includes her professional colleagues Nancy Xu, Jowita Przystał and Neil Jones, as well as former contestants Maisie Smith, Rhys Stephenson and Max George.
The show aims to give the audience a closer look at Strictly, with dances, group routines, songs and some stories along the way.
