Alan Shipnuck, the author of an unauthorized biography of Phil Mickelson who was removed from a press conference at the LIV Golf Invitational on Thursday, he confronted Greg Norman about the incident after a video appeared showing him as security escorted Shipnuck.

Shipnuck took to Twitter on Thursday to reveal that security guards had “physically” removed him from a post-round press conference with Mickelson on orders “from his boss.”

The author asked who ordered his removal and seems to have pointed it out CEO of LIV Golf Investments Greg Norman as a possibility.

Shipnuck shared a screenshot shortly afterwards asking Norman by text message if he was aware that he was “muscular”, to which Norman replied, “I didn’t hear it. Thanks for letting me know.” .

But after video evidence appeared, Shipnuck sent Norman a screenshot of a screenshot showing him directly behind him as security approached.

“You can’t do that! I texted Greg Norman before someone sent me this video; I had no idea he was lurking behind me,” Shipnuck said in a tweet.

Mickelson has been one of the most important names to join LIV Golf in the months leading up to his first event in London. He created a firestorm in February when his comments to Shipnuck for the book “Phil: The Rip-Roaring (and Unauthorized!)
