Harry and Meghan’s private jet in the United States raises climate issues

The analysis suggests that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to return from the Platinum Jubilee in a private jet will have emitted ten times more carbon than a commercial flight.

It is understood the family left Britain before the celebrations ended, having made only brief appearances over the weekend. It was their first joint outing at a major royal event in two years.

Your trip back to California will have emitted about 60 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, according to Paramount Business Jets, a charter flight provider. It is unclear whether they took a private jet to Britain last week.

The couple, which has been campaigning for more action against climate change for years, flew in what is believed to be a Bombardier Global 6000.
