DETROIT – Former Local 4 News meteorologist Kim Adams will rejoin WDIV as a meteorologist on all of our station’s main content platforms: Local 4 News on television, the ClickOnDetroit station website, and the Local 4+ station streaming channel, WDIV announced today. Adams will begin these new roles starting August 8th.

Adams previously worked as a meteorologist at Local 4 in 2009, when she left the station to become a full-time mother of her five children.

Adams, who grew up in southeast Michigan, has won numerous awards from the Associated Press and the Michigan Broadcasters Association for his weather reports.

She is also very involved in our community through her volunteer work. She is an active advocate for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, raising awareness about women’s health issues. Kim is the former fundraising and development executive at the New Day Foundation for Families, which offers financial aid to help cancer patients during treatment.

Based on her experiences as a survivor of domestic violence and a survivor of breast cancer, she is a tireless advocate of living life without fear. Adams graduated summa cum laude from Oakland University, finishing third in his class. He received a master’s degree from Wayne State University specializing in Radio / TV and Film.
