Update: Highway 17 has reopened in both directions after a collision on Sunday afternoon.
According to Ontario 511, it closed shortly before 2 p.m. on Sand Bay Road on the Spanish River Bridge.
Both lanes were cut off until around 8pm with cars skirting the roadway to reopen.
No further details have been given at this time.

The OPP is at the site of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 on Sand Bay Road on the Spanish River Bridge.
According to the Ontario 511 Twitter account of the Ministry of Transport .. it happened shortly before 2 p.m.
In a tweet, police say Highway 17 will be closed for an indefinite period of time. They add that no diversion is available.
