Celebrations of the Queen’s Jubilee splashed on the front pages of most British newspapers on Friday, as large crowds gathered in London to see the monarch on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
For the Express, the whole occasion was “amazing,” taking the title from the Queen’s remarks to a “Prince Charles” in tears at the sight of the “enthusiastic crowds” crowding the mall. “Oh, that’s amazing,” he is said to have said to his heir.

“Didn’t we make him deafening?” says the Mail, with a picture of the Queen’s great-grandson, Prince Louis, son of Prince William, with his hands over his ears while the RAF’s red arrows roar over the palace.
The young royal also provided the angle for Allison Pearson of the Telegraph, whose column occupies a place of pride on the front page of the newspaper: “A glorious day, even for the Prince of Lamentations.”
The next generation of members of the royal family is also irresistible to the Mirror, which has a similar image of the four-year-old and the headline “Wow … What a racket, great-grandmother.”
“The One Show,” says the title on the front of the Sun, with a smiling queen and Prince Louis enchanting.

The Guardian carries a picture on the balcony of the royal family watching the passage, but its main story is “Alarm over NHS failures on women’s health”.
The FT also goes with an image of the royal family on the balcony of the palace, but its prominence is the global energy crisis: “Opec increases production to cool the rise in oil prices.”
“Lovely Jubilee” says the Record at the top of its cover, while below its main story is “Summer of Chaos” at airports.
