A daytime shooting left one man dead Friday in Maple Ridge.
Homicide investigators have now named the victim, hoping to speak to associates and other witnesses.
Thirty-three-year-old Cory William Thomas has been named as the shooting victim who died around 11:40 a.m.

Ridge Meadows RCMP said officers were called to 216th Street near Donovan Avenue to reports of a shooting shortly before noon.
Officers arrived to find a man with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of the police and paramedics, he died at the scene.
Police investigators now say they believe the shooting is associated with the local drug-dealing scene, but do not believe it is related to the ongoing Lower Mainland gang conflict.
“We can confirm this is an isolated incident,” said Sgt. David Lee said.
“We speak to witnesses and offer victim support and services to those affected.”
