Vendramin graduated with honors from the Sault College Protection, Security and Investigation Program in 2020. He is a city police officer who was injured in the line of duty.
SAULT COLLEGE NEWS PRESS RELEASE *************************** Today, at the last Sault College spring convocation ceremony, Sault College presented proudly holds an honorary degree in Sports Administration from Ryan Vendramin, a former Sault College alumnus and a front-line local worker. Surrounded by the Sault College community, some of our most recent graduates and supporters, Ryan took to the stage again to accept this honor.
Ryan graduated with honors from Sault College’s Police Foundations program in the spring of 2019 and graduated with honors from Sault College’s protection, security, and research program in the spring of 2020. During his time in college he was the captain of the Sault College men’s hockey team. , National Champion and Player of the Year of the American Collegiate Hockey Association twice.
“It is with great pride that we are able to recognize Ryan’s outstanding contributions not only to Sault College but also to our community as a whole,” said Dr. Ron Common, president of Sault College. “Ryan has been a leader as a student, student-athlete and now in his chosen profession. We are honored to have him as part of the Sault College family and wish him all the best in the future,” he added. Dr. Common.
“Attending Sault College was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I learned from so many great teachers and met so many great people with whom I will be a lifelong friend. I felt very prepared to enter the world. “I work as a police officer after graduating from the Police and Protection, Security and Investigation Foundation programs. It’s an honor to be recognized today by Sault College,” said Ryan Vendramin.
