OutKick founder Clay Travis predicted how billionaire Elon Musk’s deal to buy Twitter will take place on Friday on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
CLAY TRAVIS: What will end up happening: I’m looking at it right now, the stock price has dropped around $ 2 in out-of-hours trading, suggesting what I think is the most likely outcome here. Which is Elon Musk and Twitter they will engage in a long legal battle before they end up reaching an agreement on, if a purchase price was predicted, somewhere below $ 44 billion. Musk can argue that he is receiving some sort of compensation for what he believes are misallocated numbers of users on the Twitter platform.

Twitter can still get better value than it would have if Musk were allowed to leave completely and his shares returned to the open market. It will probably fall in the 20s, about halfway through what Elon Musk is willing to buy for. So depending on how the stock market is reacting here after work hours to this news, I think there will be some kind of negotiated deal.
