At the same time, Jennifer revealed that John was also “appearing simultaneously in almost every soap opera imaginable.” She jokingly added, “If you say so, I’m sure he’s been involved.”
However, Jen shared that her father’s “TV house” will always be Days of Our Lives, where she has played the role of “the dangerously handsome and perpetually gentle businessman Victor Kiriakis” since 1985.
“For more than 30 years, her dedication to this show has earned her the respect and admiration of her fellow actors, deep friendships and has thrilled millions of fans around the world,” Jennifer concluded her speech. “His career is literally the definition of lifelong success.”
Although John did not attend the night, his Days of Our Lives co-star Suzanne Rogers accepted the award and shared a brief message on his behalf.
“Being recognized is a great privilege and a success,” she said. “John will be forever grateful.”
