Obi-Wan Kenobi has officially concluded Disney + with the release of “Part VI”. Deborah Chow’s project featured the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader while introducing fans to new characters such as Moses Ingram’s Reva and O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s Roken.
The series featured many surprises over the course of six episodes, but focused primarily on telling a personal story about the relationship between Obi-Wan and Vivien Lyra Blair’s Princess Leia. Although the show was initially marked as a limited series for Disney and Lucasfilm, recent rumors suggested that there could already be a season 2 underway, which would tell more stories about Obi-Wan’s life. to the events of A New Hope.
Prior to the series’ premiere, Chow was asked about the potential of a second season. She did not deny it directly, but alluded to the fact that there was only one story to tell about the character.
However, with the way “Part VI” ended, the door is wide open for Disney and Lucasfilm to continue Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Before the premiere of the first episode of the show, fans were already wondering if there would be a season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although director Deborah Chow had alluded to the fact that this was a unique story, everyone thought it could only be a tactic to throw people away.
However, now that the story has come to an end, the likelihood of a season 2 is much higher than ever, and there are certain elements at the end that are certainly mocking future stories to tell.

The highlight of “Part VI” that suggests Season 2 might be on track was the inclusion of Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn. The character had been mocked from the first episode and at the end of the show, Obi-Wan finally got in tune with the Force enough to be able to communicate with him.
In Revenge of the Sith, Yoda tells Obi-Wan that he will teach her to talk to Qui-Gon. Now that they are able to talk to each other, it is very likely that Qui-Gon will continue to train his apprentice. In The Clone Wars, even though Yoda was almost 900 years old, she was still able to learn from Qui-Gon about the Cosmic Force and the possibilities of life after death. This was a concept that no living Jedi was aware of until Qui-Gon told Yoda.

Seeing as Obi-Wan has no real idea of this concept during season 1 of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it would not be too exaggerated to say that season 2 could focus on him learning from Qui-Gon and becoming better than has never been. strength learning terms. This would also be the most likely direction for season 2 due to the “Part VI” mockery that Vader and Obi-Wan would not meet again until A New Hope.
Will Darth Vader be in season 2?

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s “Part VI” begins with Obi-Wan fleeing the Grand Inquisitor from Vader and Rupert Friend. He is on board the transport that escaped from Vader’s hands to Jabiim in “Part V” when Roken tells him they don’t have enough time. Knowing that he is the one looking for Vader, Obi-Wan decides to take a small escape ship and lure the Star Destroyer towards him, allowing Roken and the people of The Path to fly to a safe place.
Obi-Wan flies to a nearby planet, and instead of taking on a battalion of assault soldiers and the Grand Inquisitor to capture him, Vader decides to face it alone. The two compete on the planet, showing their respective abilities. Obi-Wan ends up defeating Vader by cutting off parts of his suit, most notably the mask, which reveals half of Anakin Skywalker’s face.
Obi-Wan and Anakin have a brief exchange of words, and then Obi-Wan leaves the planet to return to Tatooine. This closes the lingering past between the two characters and fills the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Looks like this is the last time Vader and Obi-Wan see each other as far as A New Hope. Obi-Wan received the confirmation that he needed Anakin to be actually consumed by the dark side, and Vader probably realized that he was not yet ready to face Obi-Wan. It’s also important to think about the conversation between Vader and Emperor Palpatine of Ian McDiarmid towards the end of the episode and how he mocks that Vader is ready to leave Obi-Wan behind and focus only on the future of the ‘Empires.
That said, if there is a season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it is likely that Darth Vader will not appear in the photo and there will be another antagonist.
The future of Reva beyond Obi-Wan Kenobi

After Obi-Wan defeats Vader and begins to return to Tatooine, he is disturbed by the Force and feels that Luke Skywalker is in trouble. It turns out that Reva infiltrated the Lars farm and chased Luke through the desert canyons. When Luke is knocked out and Reva is about to kill him, she receives flashbacks from her when she was young when she was attacked by Anakin during Order 66. When Obi-Wan arrives on the planet, Reva already has Luke and door. back to Owen and Beru.
In tears, Reva talks to Obi-Wan about her remorse for being an inquisitor and all the atrocities she committed as part of this program. He leaves his lightsaber in the sand and Obi-Wan basically tells him that his past does not decide his future and that he can go and do what he thinks is right.
When the series began, many fans speculated that Reva would be assassinated by Lord Vader or the Grand Inquisitor. However, this did not happen, and now that she is still alive, it makes it possible for her to appear in future Star Wars projects.
Reva does not appear Jedi: Fallen Order as an inquisitor, so the fact of moving away from the dark side answers why she is not in it. If his character ends up being continued, he can even be part of The Path and help the Jedi flee the Empire.
Whatever the future of Reva, there’s a good chance it might appear in season 2 of Obi-Wan Kenobi. She and Ben now have a connection and have experienced different traumas caused by the same person. They understand each other and can help each other in the future.
