Victoria has just become the last state where people can get a free kick.

So what do you need to know to get a free, state-by-state flu shot?

Free flu shots will be available in June in Victoria.

“We have seen cases increase very rapidly,” said Health Minister Martin Foley.

More than 3,000 GP clinics and pharmacies will have the option to offer government-funded vaccines.

Anyone over the age of five can get a free flu shot at pharmacies across the state.

Free features are also available from local GPs.

Vaccines will be available at state clinics, as well as at participating pharmacies and GPs.

The WA government said anyone over the age of five can only come in to receive a vaccine at a state clinic.

To get a free vaccine at a pharmacy or GP, people will need to book in advance.

The shots will be free at local pharmacies and GPs until June 20.

Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk described the launch as a “preventive attack” on influenza A, the dominant strain.

“What worries us most is the effect on young people,” he said.

“The symptoms are very similar to those of COVID.”

Previously, in SA, only certain groups of people, such as young children and those with medical risk factors, were eligible for free influenza vaccines.

The program will run until the end of June.

Tasmania and the territories are the only jurisdictions where flu vaccines are not free for everyone.

In the NT and ACT, vulnerable groups are eligible for free coups.
