Google Pixel 6a
The budget “a” line of Pixel phones has offered great value in the past, and the Pixel 6a looks to be no exception. It is available in 3 colors: Chalk, Charcoal and Sage, and features a 6.1-inch OLED display.
As you’d expect, there are some discounts at play with the Pixel 6a. The refresh rate drops to 60Hz and the rear camera is down to 12MP compared to the Pixel 6’s 50MP. However, you can enjoy the same Tensor chipset that powers the Pixel 6 Pro with the 6a, which should offer serious performance for the price.
A 4410mAh battery is a downgrade from not only the Pixel 6, but also the Pixel 5a. However, Google claims that the Pixel 6a will still offer more than 24 hours of battery life. All in all, the Pixel 6a looks like a lot of phone for $749, and you can count us pretty excited to try it out.
Google Pixel Buds Pro
Admittedly, these new headphones aren’t exactly game-changers in the space. Google expects these headphones to get the “Pro” tag as the first pair with active noise cancellation.
But this is no ordinary ANC. Google’s proprietary Silent Seal innovation uses custom hardware and software to maximize blocked outside noise. Without more details or hands-on testing, it’s hard to say whether Google has truly outperformed the rest of the market, but it’s an intriguing claim.
Other features of the Pixel Buds Pro include multi-point compatibility, which allows you to connect your buds to multiple devices simultaneously. This allows you to switch between different media or phone calls without having to unlink and repair them.
In terms of battery life, Google claims you can enjoy the Pixel Buds Pro for 7 hours with ANC enabled and up to 11 hours without noise cancellation. The charging case adds up to an additional 20 hours of battery life.
Google promises a moldable design that allows the headphones to fit comfortably and offer noise cancellation for any ear shape. And that’s not to mention touch controls, which let you control your music without taking out your phone. As for the colors, you can choose between charcoal, lemon and fog.
If these headphones sound like you, make your reservation now.
