‘I was MORTIFIED!’ Fiona Bruce, 58, admits that her GP embarrassed her to exercise after she was “horrified” by her lack of activity.

Fiona Bruce has admitted that her GP embarrassed her to exercise, which left her feeling “mortified” by her lack of movement.

The 58-year-old news reader made the confession in accordance with her magnificent cover session for women and home, which sees her gracefully in a series of colorful dresses.

She explained how the doctor was “so dismayed” that she did “literally no” physical activity, before doing the check-up with the birth of her first child Sam, 21.

The broadcast reporter said: “I never did any exercise until I went to see a GP before or just after having Sam.

“When I was asked if I did any exercise, I said, ‘None,’ and the doctor replied, ‘Literally none?’ I said no.”

“I was mortified because I was so horrified, so I decided to do something.

“For me, exercising isn’t about living longer, but it gives me energy and I don’t know what it would be like without him.

He explained how the doctor was “so dismayed” that he did not do “literally any” physical activity, before doing the check-up with the birth of his first child Sam, 21 (pictured in 2011)

‘I definitely have mental benefits. If I feel stressed at work or stressed because I have a lot of things, I find it very useful. “

Fiona shares Sam as well as her 20-year-old daughter Mia with her husband, media mogul Nigel Sharrocks, 65, with whom she has been married since 1994.

Fiona previously admitted that she probably didn’t spend enough time with her two children when they were older because of her high-profile television career, and said she’s grateful they had the same babysitter for 20 years.

The television personality said having the same babysitter for two decades helped her balance her professional and domestic life.

Appearing on the cover of the October issue of Good Housekeeping, she was asked how she balances work and motherhood, and admitted, “It has definitely helped to have the same babysitter living with us for 20 years.

“She left when Mia finished her GCSE, but she’s a firm friend of the family.” He added: “Have I spent enough time with my children?

“I think it scratches the surface of any working woman and she’ll always think, ‘Probably not.’ I don’t think there’s any quality time with your kids. I think it’s quantity.

“But there’s never been any doubt that they have priority over everything in my life, and they always have.”
