Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay is getting closer to a change of Liverpool this summer and has long admired Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson’s trip.
The Reds are expected to seal a £ 4million deal for the young Scottish right-back this summer, adding another exciting youth talent with senior experience in the ranks.
The 18-year-old has made 39 appearances for Aberdeen, scored once and set a new one this season to be crowned Young Writer of the Year by Scottish football writers.
And with a change at Anfield expected, there’s a lot of interest in the teen and what he can offer, with a quick reporter to say he has “bags of potential”.
His signature would also see him become a teammate with a player he admires and seeks to emulate Alexander-Arnold:
“My dad, Graham, has helped me a lot, as well as players like Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker, all the best players,” Ramsay said in April, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I like watching videos and trying to base my game on them. But when I was younger, my dad helped me a lot to get where I am.

“As a winger, seeing Trent and his crossings and his technical ability, if I can reach this level it would be an advantage.
“In midfield, you have to be technically good and Alexander-Arnold is technically good.
“He went on the right wing and he’s good at advancing and well defensively. If I can be half his player, I’ll laugh.”
As role models in the position, Alexander-Arnold is without a doubt one of the best options for Ramsay and is a good omen for Liverpool as they look to add their skill set to the position in the future.
But while it is Liverpool’s 66th game that has caught Ramsay’s eye, Robertson’s journey to Scotland, Hull and Anfield has not been missed by the teenager. .
Ramsay is seen as a grounded figure and has seen the rise of Robertson, for example, and feels he can follow a similar trajectory.
“It’s good to be linked to big clubs, but I’ve only really tried to block it. You can’t get caught up in all this. That’s the worst part, especially as a young player, ”Ramsay said.
“I just got into the first team this season, so I’m trying to block it and keep playing my game.
“If you enter the first team and play well, like me, anything can happen.
“People like Aaron Hickey came into the Hearts. He did well and took a big step into Serie A and he’s been brilliant, scoring goals and all.
“Andy Robertson at Liverpool and Tierney at Arsenal have all been brilliant and they are players I love, especially because they are full-backs like me.
“I’ve seen what they’ve done. I think I could keep doing that, too.”
