Capcom has revealed the DLC for the story of Resident Evil Village, Shadows of Rose.
This story contains spoilers for Resident Evil Village.
The expansion of the DLC will follow Rose, the daughter of the main protagonist of the game, Ethan Winters. Instead, the main game will take place from a third person point of view.
As the scene behind the game’s credits explains, Rose is now a teenager and is helping Chris Redfield in some ways. Given that we have a mockery that Ethan is still alive at the end of the game, we can assume that he will take the story into account in some way.
Perhaps most interestingly, the DLC will take place in the third person, and this is the first time that a new Resident Evil main game uses perspective from Resident Evil 6. The DLC will be available on October 28th.
Resident Evil Village Shadows of Rose – Capcom Showcase 2022
Last year we gave Resident Evil Village an 8/10 rating, calling it “a really captivating and increasingly intense fighting sequel to the story of Ethan Winters.” Its events also seem increasingly central to the Resident Evil universe, given that Resident Evil 4 Remake may be adding new connections to the latest game.
