Heavy rains and floods have killed more than 1,000 people in Pakistan since mid-June, officials said.
Floodwaters threaten to cover up to a third of the country by the end of the monsoon season.
At least 33 million people have been affected by the disaster, Pakistan’s Climate Change Minister Sherry Rehman said. He called the floods “unprecedented” and “the worst humanitarian disaster of this decade”.
He highlighted the impact in the south of the country in particular, adding that “maximum” relief efforts are underway.
