As the Jan. 6 committee of the House discovers new revelations, Trumpworld is hot enough to protect Donald Trump by finding one or two culprits in the riots.
In the latest episode of the podcast The Daily Beast’s Fever Dreams, host Will Sommer and guest host Asawin Suebsaeng, returning to the podcast he helped launch, talk about the MAGA hunt to prepare someone for the fall of Trump.
“The more you talk to people who advise Donald Trump on a daily basis about what they expect all of his political or legal maneuvers to be, the more you get the feeling right out of the horse’s mouth that they think,‘ Okay, there’s going to be a fall boy . here, ”said Suebsaeng, now a senior Rolling Stone political journalist.
One potential candidate is former Trump attorney John Eastman, now known for his “Eastman strategy” aimed at convincing then-Vice President Mike Pence to effectively steal the Trump election on January 6th. Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, whose actions in the run-up to the riot were recently exposed by the testimony of former aide Cassidy Hutchinson, could become another attractive scapegoat for Republicans.
“I think Mark Meadows has really opened up to a lot of criminal exposure here,” Suebsaeng said. “I’m not going to bite into words as I talk about John Eastman and the author of the ‘hit note’.”
“Look around Mar-a-Lago,” Sommer said. “If you don’t see the fall type, you’re the fall type.”
Also on the podcast, Sommer explains how a new right-wing movement, led by inventor and aspiring election fraud hunter Jovan Pulitzer, hopes to highlight Quixote’s effort to “desertify” the 2020 election and, hopefully, reinstate Trump. in the White House annulling the results and celebrating a repeat of the elections that two years ago now. Pulitzer has decided that “desertification” is too difficult to handle for the brand and now urges MAGA fans to endorse a new acronym: “LAVA” or “Let America Vote Again”.
Elsewhere in this week’s episode, Sommer talks about a resurgence of the “NESARA” conspiracy theory, which has gone from a scam in the 1980s to becoming a mainstay of the QAnon movement in promise his deceived followers that his debts will be abolished.
In the “Fresh Hell” segment of the podcast, the hosts talk about the recent bombing of Georgia Guidestones, a pile of granite now demolished formerly known as “America’s Stonehenge.” After the bombing, the perpetrators of which have not yet been arrested, the fate of the mysterious monument is in the air.
“The serious news is that there is a group of loose national terrorists in Georgia or elsewhere who have not been arrested and basically had a victory because it is not clear whether the Guidestones will be rebuilt,” Sommer said.
