Apple has announced iOS 16 for iPhone users, which will make their iMessage experience better than even WhatsApp.

At this time, Apple does not allow you to edit or cancel the delivery of messages already delivered to iMessage. But with the iOS 16 update, all this is possible! “Users can edit or remember recently sent messages, retrieve recently deleted messages, and mark conversations as unread so they can return later,” Apple said with the iOS 16 update.
