Ivana Trump dined at her favorite restaurant a few hours before she was found dead.
The body of the 73-year-old former model was discovered Thursday at her home on New York City’s Upper East Side after she suffered a cardiac arrest.
And Paolo Alavian, owner of Altesi’s Italian restaurant near Ivana’s house, revealed that Ivana had dinner at his restaurant the day before her death.
He told The US Sun: “Her health seemed normal, she may have looked a little tired, but otherwise she looked fine.
“[She ordered a] very, very small amount of food. I’m a little in shock right now.
“I have no idea what happened. We saw that there was a lot of activity [outside of her apartment].
“She was just an excellent human; he was a very, very good person. All of this is very emotional for me right now. She was a mother to everyone here. “
Ivana’s death was first confirmed by her ex-husband Donald Trump, who hailed her as a “beautiful and amazing” woman who led a “great and inspiring” life.
The 45th President of the United States added to his Truth platform: “I am very sad to inform everyone who loved him, that there are many, that Ivana Trump has died at her home in New York City. .
“She was a wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman who led a fantastic and inspiring life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric.
“I was as proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest in peace, Ivana!”
Police responded to his Manhattan apartment after receiving a 911 call about a person in cardiac arrest, according to an ABC 7 report.
Officials said there were no indications of suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and it appears he died of natural causes.
Ivana’s son Eric, 38, said in a statement issued on behalf of the Trump family: “Our mother was an amazing woman: a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty. and an affectionate mother and friend.
“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about rigor and toughness, compassion and determination.
“She will be greatly missed by her mother, her three children and her ten grandchildren.”
Born in Czechoslovakia in 1946, Ivana moved to Canada in the mid-1970s, before moving to the US, where she lives in New York.
She met Donald in town when she was a model and they married in 1977.
The couple separated in 1990 after Donald had an affair with 58-year-old Marla Maples, who became his second wife.
Ivana dated Italian actor Rossano Rubicondi, who died at the age of 49 in October 2021 of cancer.
