Jacques O’Neill has left Love Island, it has been confirmed.

The rugby ace has left town after mocking a dispute with Adam Collard in last night’s episode.

A Love Island spokesman said: “Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa.

“He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what happens next for Jacques.

Jacques has endured a couple of tumultuous weeks after kissing Cheyanne Kerr during House Love week and subsequently harassing Paige Thorne.

During last night’s episode, he wrote her an apology that seemed to be going well, until Adam’s arrival.

Adam continued with Paige, who was clearly overwhelmed by the returning islander.

In a teaser for tonight’s episode, it was suggested that Adam tell Paige his opinion of Jacques, which didn’t go well.

Then Jacques was seen exploding, breaking, “Who the hell is he?”

Last week, Jacques also contemplated leaving the show when it looked like his relationship with Paige was over.

Her behavior at Casa Amor provoked a huge reaction from the spectators, which did not improve when Paige returned to the village and initially refused to apologize for kissing another girl.

His family later confirmed that he lives with ADHD and struggles with emotions. However, they stressed that it was not an “exit clause” for their actions.

Jacques becomes the second islander to leave Love Island 2022 after Liam Llewellyn entered the series a few days ago.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
