James Milner has signed a new one-year deal with Liverpool, and his experience in the post-season trophy parade has helped convince him to stay.

Milner was only expected to extend his stay for another 12 months, as he will turn 37 in the middle of the season, but he is still a vital player for Klopp both on and off the pitch.
With five substitutes allowed in the Premier League starting next season, there will also be more opportunities for players in the squad to get valuable minutes on the pitch.
“I am just happy to be here for another season. I’ve never taken it for granted at this club and I never will, “Milner continued.
“A key feeling for me, and of vital importance in the process, was the belief that I can still contribute to the team.
