The select committee of the House investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol has cited a documentary filmmaker who had wide access to Donald Trump and his close associates during the crucial days of the last presidential election. Alex Holder, who is believed to have recorded images of Trump and his inner circle for months after the September 2020 election campaign, is expected to cooperate fully with the panel. The existence of the tapes only came to light with the citation, according to Politico. “We understand that you have raw footage showing the January 6 attack and that of President Trump and others discussing the results of the November 2020 presidential election,” the quote reads. He then asks Holder to deliver any footage shot in Washington, DC on Jan. 6, along with any interviews shot with Trump, his children, or Vice President Mike Pence. The citation also calls for any “gross image related to discussions about electoral fraud or electoral integrity around the November 2020 presidential election.”
