Johnny Depp plays Royal Albert Hall with Jeff Beck

Johnny Depp has appeared on stage alongside Jeff Beck in the UK for the second night in a row, amid his ongoing legal battle in the United States.

Attendees at the concert had expressed hope that the actor would appear at the Royal Albert Hall in west London after performing with Beck at Sheffield Town Hall on Sunday.

In Sheffield they performed their version of John Lennon’s song Isolation, which they previously released in 2020.

Depp took to the stage again on Monday and asked members of the public to post videos of him singing on social media.

One, Angela Flannery, said, “I was quite surprised.” Flannery, 38, of Southend-on-Sea, added: “[I have] he has always been a great admirer of his. My other half took me to this concert just to see Jeff Beck; I had no idea Johnny would play.

“It was great, such a great night overall … a special mention on drums, it was absolutely amazing. [and] Johnny Depp broke it. I will die happy [that] I’ve been in the same room as him now. “

Depp’s appearance in the UK has surprised many as he awaits a verdict in his multimillion-dollar defamation suit with his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is suing his ex-partner for a 2018 article in the Washington Post entitled, “I spoke out against sexual violence and faced the wrath of our culture. That must change.” .

The article does not mention Depp by name, but his lawyers say it falsely implies that he physically and sexually abused the Heards while they were together.

On Friday, both sides made their final statements and urged jurors to consider other victims of domestic abuse. The jury is deliberating on the case, which began on April 11 and involved six weeks of evidence.
