Dior seems to be betting heavily on Johnny Depp despite recent revelations of his high-profile defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
The French fashion house appears to be airing an old ad with the controversial 59-year-old actor, according to TMZ.
Renewed advertising comes as Dior has continued alongside Depp throughout the trial and sales of the advertised colony, Sauvage, have risen to retailers, the Wall Street Journal reported last week.

So far, Dior has not said whether it is making a renewed push in Depp’s Sauvage ads.
The Dead Man star has recorded several commercials for the fashion house since becoming the colony’s brand ambassador in 2015.
Notably, the brand seems to have broken precedents and has continued to support the actor despite allegations of physical and sexual abuse Heard made against him and allegations of unprofessional behavior on set.
TMZ noted that the announcement was recently aired in prime time during a MasterChef episode on Fox from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday night.

More recently, an ad with Depp playing chords for Wild Thing while in the wilderness and surrounded by wolves has been in full swing.
The ad was released by the brand in September 2021, although it may have been filmed earlier.
Depp has also shot other ads for the fashion house, including a 2019 clip that was criticized as racist for the way Depp and Dior used Native American iconography.
In this case, Dior became aware of the complaints and appeared to have removed the ad and related materials from its social media posts, according to The Guardian.

While the French luxury brand seems to be following suit with Depp, there is still no indication that Hollywood plans to put it on any major project.
Speaking to The Sunday Times last month, blockbuster Jerry Bruckheimer said there were no plans to take him back to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, although Margot Robbie is still in the process of making a spin-off. .
During his defamation lawsuit, Depp’s ex-agent Tracey Jacobs testified that he used a headset on set to feed his lines, although in a 2018 Vanity Fair profile, the actor went claiming he had noises and music to help him get it right. mentality for a performance.
